Summary

Donor Database Experts is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its Consultant, Data & Systems. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and database projects that Donor Database Experts is hired to perform for the Nonprofit Industry. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, managing database projects, training, database audits, and overall Client donor database management functions.

This position, in partnership with the Data & Client Services team, will assist with performing and writing database assessments, and work to establish and implement effective processes and systems that support and advance our clients’ fundraising operations goals. This position will be responsible for building advanced queries, exports, performing advanced data analytics, and implementing database clean up projects. The Consultant, Data & Systems will play a critical operational and relationship role in support of Donor Database Experts business development.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The principal responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage a portfolio of non-profit clients;
  • Overall project management, including planning, and executing consulting projects in the areas of process improvement, operational database assessments, implementing database and gift processing best practices, etc.;
  • Perform operation and database assessments of clients’ donor database and advancement operations, including but not limited to: grants management, gift processing compliance, donor life cycle, prospect management, overall advancement operations, and finance department reconciliations, policies, procedures, and internal controls;
  • Assist clients with the training and implementation of donor CRM, establish and implement best practices and processes to maintain accurate donor and gift records, manage data entry, data integrity, and maintenance;
  • Work with the Data & Client Services team to implement database conversions;
  • Perform data analytics as requested in support of the efforts of the Donor Database Experts team;
  • Develop donor and funding reports to track fundraising status, revenue goals and projections, prospecting and moves management for our Clients;
  • Create customized reports and dashboards for clients, implement and train on reports that can be replicated regularly for our Clients;
  • Produce and train on advanced donor mailing list segmentation – train clients on the creation, segmentation and analysis of prospect and donor lists for solicitations, invitations, mailings, eblasts and other donor touchpoints and communications. Liaise with the marketing and communications team on all activities and other key client staff as needed;
  • Produce client standard operating procedures;
  • Serve as Raiser’s Edge and donor software expert for our Clients;
  • Assist in managing, developing and coaching Client professional staff, as well as training Donor Database Experts staff as needed;
  • Maintain relationships with appropriate levels of client interaction;
  • Performing industry and technical research for the development of new client solutions; • Utilize technology and best practices to improve internal processes for Client projects;

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, analytics, nonprofit management, or related field preferred, OR;
  • 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit operations, consulting and/or database management;
  • 5-10 years of advanced Raiser’s Edge experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience with PowerBi, Omatic, Financial Edge, Tableau, or data warehouse implementation a plus.

Salary

$80,000 – $110,000

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, and internal equity.
